Hajen is located in the center of the Weserbergland, which invites you to go hiking. The varied lanscape with its mixed forests always offers new views. We have suggestions for everyone: for those who like to walk on level paths and for the hikers who like to climb rocks in the Ith mountains.

The Weserberglandradweg and the pilgrimage route Loccum-Volkenroda lead directly through Hajen. Nearby, you can take a trip on the Ith-Hilsweg and the Hansaweg

Along the lovely Emmer and the Weser are easy, well maintained, bike paths. The Weserradweg is one of the most popular long distance paths. The Emmerradweg leads to the Hämelschenburg castle and to bad Pyrmont, also the routes “Kirchen und Kloster” and “Bauernland”.

These are just a few suggestions that are available in the Weserbergland. We have lots of information at hand for you. Outside the Bergland are the Cities Hildesheim, Hannover , Minden and Detmold in an hours reach. The Harz mountains or the Heide you can reach in about one and a half hours.
