The town Hajen

view from the Eichberg on Hajen

Hajen is located as part of the municipality of Emmerthal between the Baron Muenchhausen city of Bodenwerder and the Pied piper city of Hameln, directly on the ricer Weser. Due to its central yet quiet location, many excursion destinations are within short reach.

The popular bike path on the river Weser passes directly through the town, 200 meters from Muellers Hof. Previously this route was used as a towpath. On the path, we our summer cafe, that we own with some of our friends.

Our half-timbered houses are positioned like a string of pearls in the village. Well-kept gardens, the original Romanesque church, the old “Thingplatz”, the farm with a Renaissance fountain invite you to walk and linger.

Despite the population of only about 400 inhabitants, there is a lively sports club life, in which guests are always welcome. From Muellers Hof, you only need to cross the street to the bakery Bente. Daily, even on Sundays, we are pampered with fresh baked rolls. In the shop you can also purchase everything for your daily needs.

In the beech forest of the “Eichberg” you can discover forestry, orchids or fossils. From here the view extends far into the country.
